Because Lehighton Ambulance is the primary services providers in these communities, people who live within these communities have the opportunity to subscribe to Lehighton Ambulance.

Becoming a subscriber of Lehighton Ambulance benefits the subscriber, Lehighton Ambulance and the community.

Benefits for the Subscriber:

• The subscriber will not be charged for out of pocket expenses for services rendered through Lehighton Ambulance which are not covered by their insurance company. This usually consists of your insurance deductibles and co-pays. Most insurance company deductibles and co-pays are higher than the annual household subscriber cost.
• If the subscriber does not have medical insurance coverage, the entire cost of the service will be covered.
• Subscription will cover the member if they are in need of emergency medical ambulance service if they are away from home but still within Lehighton ambulance communities.
• Will cover the subscriber for one calendar year
• The subscription cost may be tax deductible.

Types of Subscriptions

• Individual
  • The individual subscription includes services only for the subscriber.
• Household Subscription-
  • Will cover everyone who resides in the household.
  • The household subscription will also cover your visitors (grandchildren etc), if they are in need of emergency ambulance service from your residence.

Benefits for the Community and Lehighton Ambulance:

• Lehighton Ambulance is an independent non-profit organization. Just like other emergency services providers such as fire departments, we rely on donations and memberships from the community. Your subscription will help insure that our life saving team can provide state of the art pre-hospital care and medicine when you or your family members need it the most.
• Funds generated by the subscription drive enable the Lehighton Ambulance to:
  • Purchase and maintain medical equipment,
  • Train our health care professional EMT's and Paramedics,
  • Cover building expenses, and staff the paramedic units at each location 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Please be assured that Lehighton Ambulance will always respond to an emergency call, whether you are a subscriber or not, however non-subscribers may be subject to much higher out-of -pocket expenses and any balance not covered by your insurance company.
